Our FBC Leadership
Dr. Jeff Hessinger – Senior Pastor
Dr. Hessinger and Errin came to First Baptist Church
November 2022 as our Intentional Interim and then became our Senior Pastor four months later by unanimous affirmation on March 12, 2023. They came from their hometown of Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Jeff and Errin have served in Florida, Arkansas, and South Carolina. Dr. Jeff has served as a ministry leader for 40 years as a pastor in churches, an Associational Missionary in Arkansas, and in the Evangelism Group of the Florida Baptist Convention.
Pastor attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received the Master of Divinity Degree and the Doctor of Ministry Degree. Our pastor and Errin are energetic and consistently leading with a genuine love for God’s people, a commitment to Scripture, and with passion for our community to encounter the gospel. Dr. Jeff and Errin have 5 children between the ages of 18 and 28. Pastor and wife love fishing! Errin is a shopper and pastor just strolls along with her. He is teaching our men his shopping motto for a healthy marriage, “I carry shopping bags for kisses”! Errin holds a Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Educational Leadership and loves working in schools as a teacher and administrator.
David Hall – Chairman of Deacons
David serves the First Family as the Chairman of Deacons, as a Trustee, on the Pastor’s Advisory Team, as Moderator, and an adult Sunday School teacher.
Patrick McKinzie – Chairman of Trustees
Patrick Serves the First Family as the Chairman of Trustees, as a Deacon, on the Fellowship Team, on the Pastor’s Advisory Team, on the Praise Team, and as the unofficial Facilities and Properties Manager.
Kim Roberts – Chairman of the Nominating Team
Kim serves the First Family as the Chairman of the Nominating Team, as a Deacon, a Trustee, and on the Missions Team.
Jed Shafford – Pastor’s Appointment to Pastor’s Advisory Team
Jed serves the First Family on the Worship Praise Team, and on the Pastor’s Advisory Team.
Rita Huebschman – Church Treasurer
Rita serves the First Family as the Chairperson of the Missions Team, as the Church Treasurer, and on the Pastor’s Advisory Team.
Karren McKinzie – Worship Music Director
Karren serves the First Family as the Worship Music Director, on the Fellowship Team, and the Church Clerk.
Kellee Needles – Director of Media Production
Kellee serves the First Family as the Director of Media Production. This includes the worship service streaming broadcast, production of the visual arts for worship services, social media, print media, and she assists with the coordination of the Tech Team.
